Three AI giants, six shiny new names, and one question every Pakistani is asking: which one is actually worth my rupees? In this Gemini vs ChatGPT vs Claude showdown, we compare Google’s Gemini 4 Argon and Carbon, OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Terra and ChatGPT Dots, and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Duet. We look at what they do, what they cost in PKR, and, most importantly, whether you can even use them from Pakistan.

First, What Are All These Names?
Each company now has a “brain” (the model) and an “agent” (something that works for you in the background):
- Google: Gemini 4 Argon (released 13 Oct) and the newer Gemini 4 Carbon (28 Oct)
- OpenAI: GPT-6.1 Terra (26 Oct), a mid-sized model that can use your computer, and ChatGPT Dots (29 Sep), always-on agents
- Anthropic: Claude Opus 5.5 (22 Sep), its top model, and Claude Duet (21 Oct), a proactive agent that runs on Opus 5.5
Can You Use Them in Pakistan?
This is where the hype meets reality.
| Tool | Which plan | Price (approx. PKR/month) | In Pakistan? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini 4 Argon | Google AI Pro | Rs 5,600 | Yes |
| Gemini 4 Carbon | Early access only (security experts, partners) | Not on sale yet | No, not yet for anyone |
| GPT-6.1 Terra | ChatGPT Plus and above (in ChatGPT Work and Codex) | About Rs 5,600 ($20) | Yes |
| ChatGPT Dots | Pro 100 and above | About Rs 28,000 ($100) | Yes, but pricey |
| Claude Opus 5.5 | Claude Pro and above | About Rs 5,600 ($20) | Yes |
| Claude Duet | Pro or Max, US accounts only | About Rs 5,600 ($20) | No, US-only waitlist |
Dollar prices converted at about Rs 280. Google AI Pro shows Rs 5,600 in Pakistan. Your bank may also add 0.5% (filer) or 1% (non-filer) advance tax on foreign card payments.
So, two of the six (Carbon and Duet) you can’t use at all right now. One (Dots) costs more than many people’s monthly electricity bill. That leaves three real choices, and they all cost roughly the same: about Rs 5,600 a month.
1. Google Gemini 4 Argon: Best Value for Most People
- Comes with Google AI Pro: 4x the free usage, plus 5TB of Google storage
- Built into Gmail, Docs, Search and Android, which most of us already use
- Billed in rupees through Google, so no card headaches
The catch: the cheaper Google AI Plus plan (Rs 1,400) doesn’t include Argon. And Carbon, Google’s newest and smartest model, isn’t open to the public yet. Early tests also show Carbon makes up answers more often than Argon (an 11% hallucination rate vs 4%), so don’t rush.
2. ChatGPT Terra and Dots: Best for Freelancers Who Automate
- Terra can see your screen and work inside your browser and desktop apps
- Great for repetitive freelance work: filling forms, sorting files, research, data entry
- ChatGPT’s free plan is still the most generous: unlimited everyday chats
The catch: Free and Go users don’t get Terra. You need Plus. And Dots, the always-on agent everyone’s talking about, needs the Pro 100 plan at around Rs 28,000 a month. For most Pakistani freelancers, that’s a month’s rent.
3. Claude Opus 5.5 and Duet: Best for Coding and Writing
- Opus 5.5 beats even Gemini Carbon on the Artificial Analysis coding-agent index (62 vs 59)
- 1 million-token memory for huge documents and codebases
- Strong at long writing, reports and client work
The catch: the free plan doesn’t include Opus 5.5. And Claude Duet, the morning-brief, inbox-checking agent, is US-only for now. Pakistanis are stuck watching from the outside.
For Developers: API Prices Compared
| Model | Input (per 1M tokens) | Output (per 1M tokens) |
|---|---|---|
| GPT-6.1 Terra | $1 | $5 |
| Gemini 4 Argon / Carbon | $2 (intro price until end of 2026) | $10 |
| Claude Opus 5.5 | $4 | $20 |
If you’re building apps for Pakistani clients on a tight budget, Terra is the cheapest. Gemini’s price doubles to $4/$20 from January, so watch out.
Gemini vs ChatGPT vs Claude: Our Verdict for Pakistan
- Students and casual users: stick with ChatGPT’s free plan. Don’t pay yet.
- Families and small businesses: Google AI Pro. Argon plus 5TB of storage, billed in rupees, is the best deal for Rs 5,600.
- Freelancers doing repetitive work: ChatGPT Plus for Terra’s computer use.
- Developers and writers: Claude Pro for Opus 5.5.
- Skip for now: Dots (too expensive), Duet (not here) and Carbon (not out).
The Rant
Every AI company is now selling “agents that work while you sleep.” Great. But the best agents are either US-only or priced in dollars that hurt in rupees. The AI race is real, but for Pakistan, the most powerful tools are always a few months, and a few thousand rupees, out of reach. Pick one Rs 5,600 plan that fits your work, use it properly, and ignore the hype.
