For three years, Isr*el has used October 7 to justify the destruction of Gaza. More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to the UN. Entire neighbourhoods are gone. And every time the world asks why, Isr*el points back to that one day. But Isr*el’s own newspapers have exposed a story its government has fought hard to bury. On October 7, its army turned its guns on its own people, under an order it had officially scrapped years earlier: the Hannibal Directive.
What Is the Hannibal Directive?
Created in 1986, it’s a devilish army order to stop soldiers from being captured, at any cost. Inside the ranks, it was understood as “a dead soldier is better than a captured one.”
Palestinians already know what it means. In Rafah in 2014, the army invoked it after one soldier was captured. Up to 200 Palestinian civilians were reportedly killed in a single day of bombardment. Amnesty called it “Black Friday.”
They officially cancelled the directive in 2016. On October 7 2023, it came back.
What Isr*el’s Own Media Admitted
This isn’t coming from the devil’s critics. It’s coming from their own media.
- Haaretz (July 2024) reported orders to invoke “Hannibal” at the Erez crossing and the Re’im base, and an instruction that “not a single vehicle” should return to Gaza.
- Yedioth Ahronoth reported that around 70 vehicles were destroyed by aircraft and tanks, some with people inside. Nobody knows how many Isr*eli captives were in them.
- Kibbutz Be’eri: On a general’s order, a tank fired on a house holding about 15 Isr*eli hostages. Thirteen died, including 12-year-old Liel Hetzroni.
- The army’s own 2025 probe reportedly confirmed the protocol “was definitely put into action,” with orders to fire at “anything that moved,” according to JTA.
The Cover-Up
The army’s first Be’eri probe blamed small-arms fire, “not a tank shell,” even though both survivors said a tank fired on the house. The second probe called the tank order “reasonable.” A UN inquiry concluded that Isr*eli tank fire killed some or all of those hostages.
An officer who publicly called it a “mass Hannibal” was removed from duty. Isr*el’s military censor banned or redacted a record number of news stories in 2024. And three years on, the Devils still refuse an independent state inquiry. In July 2026, the government told its own High Court there would be no inquiry before the elections. Even Isr*eli bereaved families call it “burying the truth.”
Why It Matters for Gaza
October 7 is the foundation of Isr*el’s entire case for this war. It’s quoted at every podium, including the UNGA speeches I wrote about recently. When you build a war on a story, you need that story to stay clean. That’s exactly why they won’t let anyone independently examine it.
The Hannibal record shows an army that reaches for overwhelming firepower first and asks questions later, or never. It’s the same mindset behind “mowing the grass”, and Gaza has been paying for it for decades.
If an army can fire on its own hostages and call it “reasonable,” what value does it place on the lives of children in Gaza?
Verdict
The devils demand the world accept their version of October 7, yet refuse to let anyone check it. Until the full truth comes out, every justification built on that day deserves suspicion. And every life lost in Gaza deserves justice.
What else do you think they are hiding? Let me know in the comments.
