Geely is finally here. Bestway Group launched the brand at Park View City, Islamabad on Saturday, 24 October, and unveiled three cars: the EX2 electric hatchback, the EX5 electric SUV and the Starray SUV. Everyone wants to know the Geely price in Pakistan. The awkward bit? Bestway has not announced a single price yet. So here’s what’s confirmed, what we expect each car to cost, and whether you should wait or just buy a BYD.
What Bestway Actually Confirmed
- Bestway Automotive is Geely’s sole authorised distributor in Pakistan.
- First cars come as imports. Local assembly will happen at the old Proton plant at Port Qasim, Karachi, which can build up to 25,000 cars a year.
- Proposed warranty: up to 6 years / 150,000 km on the car and 8 years on the battery and motor.
- Online booking, financing through UBL and a nationwide charging network are planned.
- Prices, booking dates and final Pakistani specs: “to be announced through official channels.”
Translation: a big launch party, no price tags. Classic.

Some websites already list the EX5 at around Rs 9.83m. Ignore them. Geely itself says no price has been set.
1. Geely EX2: The Hatchback That Beat the Model Y
- Compact 5-door electric hatchback, rear-wheel drive
- 39.4 – 40.8 kWh LFP battery, up to 410 km (CLTC)
- Up to 114 hp and 150 Nm
- 14.6-inch touchscreen, up to 6 airbags, adaptive cruise and auto emergency braking on top trims
In China, the EX2 was the best-selling car of any kind in 2025. It even outsold the Tesla Model Y. It’s bigger than the MG Binguo and about the same size as the Dongfeng Box. If Bestway prices it near the Box, it’s the one to watch.
2. Geely EX5: The Atto 3 Fighter
- Fully electric compact SUV
- Earlier version: 60.2 kWh battery, 160 kW motor, about 530 km (CLTC)
- China’s newer version: 245 kW motor, 800V charging, up to 635 km (CLTC)
Bestway hasn’t said which version Pakistan gets. Remember, CLTC range is the optimistic Chinese test. Real-world range on our roads will be lower. The EX5 has one job here: be a better deal than the BYD Atto 3.
3. Geely Starray: For People Scared of Charging
The Starray looks a lot like the EX5 but adds a petrol engine. Bestway’s press release calls it the Starray EM-R, a range-extended EV. Some reports call it the EM-i plug-in hybrid. Should You Book a Geely or Buy a BYD?
Wait for Geely if: you aren’t in a hurry, you want a bigger hatchback than the Binguo, and that 8-year battery warranty matters to you.
Buy the BYD if: you need a car now. BYD already has prices, showrooms and a charging partner on the ground. Geely has a launch event and promises.
And whatever you choose, don’t pay “own money” on a car without a price. With petrol where it is (see our petrol price breakdown), an EV makes sense. Just not at any price.
The Rant
Launching three cars without prices is becoming a Pakistani tradition. Bestway has the money, the plant and the UBL financing link, so the pieces are there. But warranties and charging networks are only “proposed.” Until Bestway puts real numbers on the table, the Geely price in Pakistan is a guessing game. We’ll update this post the day prices drop.
