It’s December, which means 2025 is almost in the history books. And what a weird, wild year it has been for tech in Pakistan. Here are the 2025 tech awards for Pakistan.
We saw the rise of “Paper Thin” phones (that nobody bought), the explosion of AI in our pockets, and finally, some relief in laptop prices. But who actually won your money?
Here are the official Razarants Tech Awards for 2025.
🏆 The “Budget King” Award: Infinix GT 20 Pro
Winner: Infinix GT 20 Pro Why: In an economy where flagship phones cost 5 lakhs, Infinix saved the day for gamers. They gave us a dedicated gaming chip, 144Hz screen, and a unique design for under PKR 100k. It wasn’t perfect, but it was the hero we needed.
- Runner Up: Redmi Note 14 series (Solid, but played it too safe).
🏆 The “Richie Rich” Flex Award: Huawei Mate XT (Tri-Fold)
Winner: Huawei Mate XT Why: It’s a phone. It’s a tablet. It’s a… bigger tablet? Huawei’s tri-fold phone was the ultimate status symbol in Pakistani boardrooms this year. It costs as much as a Mehran, but if you wanted to turn heads, this was the only gadget that mattered.
🏆 The “Workhorse” Award: MacBook Air M3
Winner: MacBook Air 13″ (M3) Why: Even with the M4 and M5 chips making headlines, the M3 Air became the default recommendation for every freelancer and student in Pakistan. It hit the sweet spot of price (once it settled), battery life (essential for load-shedding), and performance. It just works.
📉 The “Biggest Flop” Award: The ‘Slim’ Phone Trend
Winner: iPhone Air & Galaxy S25 Edge Why: We wrote a whole blog on this. Companies thought we wanted thinner phones. We actually wanted better batteries. The sales numbers were a disaster, proving that Pakistani buyers care about value, not gimmicks.
🤖 The “Game Changer” Award: Adobe Firefly 3 (in Photoshop)
Winner: Generative Match Why: For the thousands of Pakistani graphic designers on Upwork and Fiverr, this feature was a lifesaver. It turned hours of “photobashing” into a 30-second prompt. It didn’t just change how we edit; it changed how we earn.
